    Large Pores

Large PoresPore size is determined by our genetics, our sun exposure history and some skin conditions. When pores are chronically clogged they tend to look larger because they are stretched open by trapped skin cells, oil and debris.

One common cause of large pores is a failure to regularly wash your face at night. Even without wearing makeup, bacteria on our faces builds up during the day. When you go to bed, everything on your face gets into the skin and clogs your pores causing pimples, whiteheads or blackheads.

One can keep pores cleaned out so they appear smaller with a pore minimizing face wash, toner, mask or gel as well as prescription acne medications if needed. Certain laser treatments are thought to help keep pores smaller by stimulating collagen production in the skin.
